Willow Shields was interviewed by Wetpaint Entertainment about changes for her, her favourite scenes, and the next movies.
"Is this the craziest month of your life?Willow Shields: Definitely. Yeah! The premiere was insane. I got out of the car and all the fans there were crazy. Just seeing all the people there — that are there for the film and there to support the cast members — is amazing. They’re awesome.
And just to be able to see the movie was so great. I think the fans are going to love it.
Did anyone prepare you for that experience was going to be like?No! No one. I had no idea it was going to be that big. I had no idea that that many fans would be there for the first movie. And just thinking, what’s it going to be like for the last movie?
What was a scene you really loved seeing on screen?I think one of the most amazing scenes I saw was Rue’s death scene just because I think Amandla Stenberg is an amazing actress. Jennifer does some of her best [work] in that scene. Both of them, they’re so perfect for their characters. They’re amazingly talented. And I think that was one of the best scenes in the whole movie.
What do you look forward to as far as future storylines go?In the first book Prim is a young girl who’s afraid of what’s going to happen and she’s really sensitive, but towards the end, in the last book she becomes like Katniss and she becomes this brave, strong female character. I can’t wait to do that in the last movie."
