New Information about Catching Fire Script, Francis Lawrence, and the Hunger Games DVD

The Wall Street Journal released a new report about the status on some huge upcoming events. It says that Francis Lawrence has not signed yet but is close, and that the DVD could be out August or September.

Francis Lawrence Status as Director:Lions Gate,… is now close to a deal with Francis Lawrence, whose previous projects include “I Am Legend” and “Constantine,” according to people familiar with the matter.
On the script for Catching Fire:…the studio has yet to finalize a script, now being written by “Slumdog Millionaire” writer Simon Beaufoy. The author of the series, Suzanne Collins, will have input, as she did with the script for the first film.
“I would call it a collaborative effort,” said Rob Friedman, Lions Gate motion picture group co-chair, referring to Ms. Collins’s participation. “Suzanne has always been very, very involved.”
On the highly anticipated DVD Release:The studio will also rely on the DVD release of “The Hunger Games” to fuel anticipation for “Catching Fire,” a strategy it credits with helping make the second “Twilight” film an even bigger success than the first. Due to the first film’s exceptional box office performance, the studio is considering pushing the DVD release to five months after its theatrical opening, as opposed to the usual four-month window, according to people familiar with the matter. That time frame would also allow it to take advantage of back-to-school momentum in the retail environment.
Mr. Friedman vows to be “very aggressive” in pushing DVDs at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and other retail outlets.

Top 10 Highlighted Quotes from Kindles - 8 from Hunger Games

Suzanne Collins is a bestselling author on the Kindle. If you have a Kindle, you know that you can highlight quotes and Amazon tracks them. The top 10 quotes have been released and 8 are from Hunger Games series!

1. “Because sometimes things happen to people and they’re not equipped to deal with them.” (Catching Fire)
2. “The rules of the Hunger Games are simple. In punishment for the uprising, each of the twelve districts must provide one girl and one boy, called tributes, to participate. The twenty-four tributes will be imprisoned in a vast outdoor arena that could hold anything from a burning desert to a frozen wasteland. Over a period of several weeks, the competitors must fight to the death. The last tribute standing wins.” (The Hunger Games)
3. “It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.” (Pride and Prejudice)
4. “It takes ten times as long to put yourself back together as it does to fall apart.” (Mockingjay)
5. “’I just want to spend every possible minute of the rest of my life with you,’ Peeta replies.” (Catching Fire)
6. “’I wish I could freeze this moment, right here, right now, and live in it forever,’ he says.” (Catching Fire)
7. “Life in District 12 isn’t really so different from life in the arena. At some point, you have to stop running and turn around and face whoever wants you dead.” (Catching Fire)
8. “Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves, vanity to what we would have others think of us.” (Pride and Prejudice)
9. “’Having an eye for beauty isn’t the same thing as a weakness,’ Peeta points out. ‘Except possibly when it comes to you.’” (Catching Fire)
10. “I am not pretty. I am not beautiful. I am as radiant as the sun.” (The Hunger Games)

Josh Hutcherson Talks Boy Bands and Spiders

Josh recently did an interview and talked about everything from Detention, kissing Jennifer, and more.

There are so many pop culture references in the movie (Detention). What are some of your favorite pop culture things from the ’90s?Josh Hutcherson: ”Oh man, I was a huge boy band fan back in the day. Like ‘N Sync and Backstreet Boys and Hanson and all that stuff.”
You are also an executive producer on Detention. What was that like and did it affect at all the process of being an actor?Josh Hutcherson: ”It was awesome for me. I’ve grown up on movie sets and wanted to get behind the camera, so to get that opportunity here was awesome. You know, for me my biggest involvement was in the casting process at the beginning as well as just nailing down the story stuff and on set just kind of helping with the logistics of things and helping things run smoothly, just because Joseph and most of his crew comes from a music video/commercial-oriented background. Me, coming from the film world, it was kind of helpful to bring the knowledge of that to the set. It was cool, I think. For me, it’s something I want to do a lot more.
As far as how it affected my performance, I don’t think it really got in the way. Most of my producorial duties were before we even started shooting. But even the stuff on the set, I don’t think it took away anything at all from my acting.”
Why haven’t you done a horror movie before and are you a fan of the genre? What scares you?Josh Hutcherson: ”I haven’t been avoiding the genre, I just don’t think the right thing had come along yet. I think that there’s never really been a project that I wanted to do that was in the horror genre. Nothing had come across my table yet [before this].
As far as what I’m afraid of, I hate spiders. I’m pretty good at being not afraid of almost anything, except for spiders. They just scare the crap out of me.”

Dayo Okeniyi Talks New Show "Prairie Dogs"

Dayo Okeniyi will star in the new ABC comedy "Prairie Dogs" and we have more information about the show.

His character on the show is total opposite of his Hunger Games character Thresh. Thresh is tough, strong and basically “the reason Katniss makes it to Catching Fire ” as Dayo’s Twitter says. His character on the new gig…isn’t like that at all.
“Fans of the Hunger Games are going to see a different side of Dayo,” he said. “You’ll get to see the goof ball Dayo.”
You check out his video interview at Cambio.

Jennifer Lawrence Named People's Most Beautiful at Every Age

People Magazine released their list of 2012's "Most Beautiful At Every Age" and Jennifer Lawrence is one of them. Here is why:
The Oscar-nominated actress scored legions of fans thanks to her starring role as Katniss Everdeen in this year’s box office hit Hunger Games. But don’t expect the young star to fall victim to the pressures of being thin in Hollywood. “I don’t diet,” she told Glamour. “I do exercise! But I don’t diet. You can’t work when you’re hungry, you know?”
No other HG stars made the list, but they deserve it!

Marketing Chiefs of Lionsgate and Summit To Remain in Current Roles

Unless you are living under a rock (which I am totally guilty of sometimes), you know that Lionsgate and Summit are merging together. The biggest question was which employees would be cut, considering that the job roles overlap. Some people were nervous about the marketing team for The Hunger Games: Tim Palen with Lionsgate or Nancy Kirkpatrick with Summit. Who would go?

It was announced to today that both Palen and Kirkpatrick will be keeping their roles and might even collaborate on some major projects from both studios, including Catching Fire and Breaking Dawn Part 2.

Zooey Magazine with Dayo Okeniyi

Zooey Magazine chatted with Dayo Okeniyi about pretty much everything!

The best part of my job, is just getting a chance to work with people that you admire so much. It’s a really fortunate job. I love my job. Film is such an old media, that there are people who have been doing this for such a long time and are still doing it. And people that grew up admiring the characters that were played on screen and to actually get a chance to meet them and work with them. Working with people like Woody Harrelson and Donald Sutherland, people who are so awesome at what they do, it’s incredible.
Getting a chance to do something that really touches people. Sometimes you think of film as such a trivial thing. But there are movies that change people’s lives. People leave movie theaters and have completely changed the way they live. If somebody comes to me and says, ‘your movie made me think of something differently’ or ‘I watch your movie whenever I have a bad day,’ I would love that.
One thing on my bucket list is to win an Academy Award. It’s always work related, because I love acting so much. Work with Will Smith. Work with J.J. Abrams. Work with Steven Spielberg. I could go on and on.
My biggest guilty pleasure is Food Network. I watch everything on Food Network. It’s pretty embarrassing, but I love it (and my roommates hate it)! I watch Chopped. I watch Iron Chef and Man vs. Food. I watch everything. It’s kind of bad, but I am proud of it.
The most played song (at the moment) on my iPhone is probably Drake’s “We’ll Be Fine.” I cannot live without my Iphone.

Hunger Games NC to be Featured on Syfy

A North Carolina newspaper, Hickory Daily Record, is reporting that the Hildebran set of The Hunger Games will be featured on Syfy's Hollywood Treasures.

The SyFy Channel was at the village on Tuesday filming an episode of the second season of “Hollywood Treasures,” and the show’s host, Joe Maddalena, was at the village looking for anything left behind from the movie.
The show is a documentary reality show based on Maddalena’s life as he travels the world hunting down Hollywood treasures to sell at auction. Maddalena has been hunting treasures for 26 years and owns a business in Los Angeles, “Profiles in History.”
Maddalena said the episode also could help the property’s owner, Wade Shepherd, sell the village that stood as the home for “The Hunger Games” heroine Katniss Everdeen.
He talked about how beautiful the property is and how people may have the misconception that it’s in the middle of nowhere.
“I think that’s one thing we’ll do on the show is convey how amazing this property is and how amazing this location is,” Maddalena said. “It’s like out of a Norman Rockwell painting.”
Maddalena added, “It’s just a nice experience.”
We don't have an air date yet, but the new season starts May 22 at 10 PM on the Syfy channel.
Will you tune in? I think I will!

Jennifer Lawrence In Talks To Star In "Glass Castle: A Memoir"

Lionsgate has the rights to Jeanette Walls' Glass Castle: A Memoir and we have reports that Jennifer Lawrence is in talks to star in the movie.
This is a real departure for Lionsgate which has mostly specialized in testosterone movies. But chalk it up to the success of female-powered The Hunger Games and the stardom of Jennifer Lawrence. As well as the sensibility of Summit’s Erik Feig, who shepherded the Twilight Saga films and is now production president for Lionsgate as well. He’s just acquired the rights to The Glass Castle: A Memoir by gossip columnist Jeanette Walls. Lionsgate made the deal with Gil Netter (The Blind SideLife Of Pi) who will produce. Marti Noxon is attached to write the screenplay.
Here is a summary of the story:
The book — which stayed on the New York Times bestseller list for over 250 weeks — tells the true tale of Walls’ childhood, which found her raised by abusive, dysfuctional parents. Her mother Rose Mary was creative, but also eccentric and immature, owning land in Texas worth millions (something they found out later) while they lived in deep poverty. At one point after Jeanette had grown up, Rose Mary choose to be homeless for the “adventure.” Meanwhile, her father Rex had trouble keeping a job, drank and smoked heavily, and had a dream of striking it rich and building the family the titular “glass castle.”

Teens React To Hunger Games

Check out the video above for teen's reactions to the Hunger Games movie trailer. It is really cool to see their reactions...and pretty funny!

Josh Hutcherson Named His Dog After Ryan Gosling?

Josh Hutcherson said that he named his newly adopted rescue dog Driver, after Ryan Gosling. Not him directly, but his character in Drive.
“I’m obsessed with the movie Drive, and Ryan Gosling‘s character was named Driver. I always thought it was a good name for a dog so it just kind of worked out.”
He also spoke about his training to become Peeta.
To prepare for his role in the blockbuster film Hutcherson had to put on weight and exercise with ex-Navy Seal Logan Hood, who “just kicks ass,” he told Us.Hood, who also worked with Liam Hemsworth, 22, had Hutcherson “flipping tires the parking lot and slamming baseball bats against body bags — crazy things! It was so unconventional, and you’re working muscles you didn’t even know you had. You’re like, ‘How am I possibly this sore?’”
Hutcherson added: “I felt like with Logan, I was sore for four days afterwards, and we worked out five days a week, so I was in a constant state of soreness!”

Josh Hutcherson Wants to Change the World

Josh HutchersonAt last night's GLAAD Media Awards, Josh Hutcherson was the youngest award winner for the Vanguard Award. During his acceptance speech, he talked about his desire to "change the world."

"I’m sick of saying the words gay and lesbian,” Hutcherson said. “It’s just people…One day I want my son to come home from school and be like, ‘Dad, I found this guy and I love him.’ And I’ll be like, ‘Yes, you do and that’s OK!’ I so want that.”
He also said he wants to continue his fight to support equal rights for gays and lesbians through Straight But Not Narrow, a nationwide organization of straight supporters of gay rights. “I’ll hopefully make a million more movies but this is what I want to do with my life, changing the world and hopefully change what people think,” he said, adding, “Everybody just be yourself and encourage everyone to do the same.”
GLAAD’s new president Herndon Graddick said of Hutcherson, “I think it shows the changing of the times. He’s a 19-year-old actor, who even before The Hunger Games, formed his own organization to support gay rights. It shows you that young people are over this particular issue. I think it’s huge.”

"The Hunger Games" Steps Down From #1 At Box Office

The Hunger Games fell from it's number one spot at the box office and it took two romance films to do it. The #1 seat is Think Like a Man, making $33 million. Second spot goes to The Lucky One with $22.8 million. The Hunger Games took third with $14.5 million, but has risen to #19 on the list of highest grossing domestic films. With next weekend's IMAX release, we should look to make even more!

Happy Earth Day + Ways To Be Green

Happy Earth Day! Today, we bring you thirteen tips to living a greener life - straight from the districts of Panem.

District 1 (luxury) - Buy handmade jewelry from Etsy and local craft sellers.

District 2 (masonry) - Use bricks that were made eco-friendly. CalStar bricks are a great brand.

District 3 (technology) - Donate your electronics when you are done. When shopping for new ones, see if they have the Energy Star label.

District 4 (fishing) - Make sure that you don't throw your trash into the ocean while at the beach. Organize a beach cleanup.

District 5 (power) - Use less power by plugging your devices into a power strip.

District 6 (transportation) - Take the bus, walk, bike or arrange a car pool to get to where you need to be. When you are driving your own car, buy a hybrid and look  for greener cars.

District 7 (lumber) - Plant a tree! Recycle paper.

District 8 (textiles) - Try to buy eco-friendly clothing made from natural cotton.

District 9 (grain) - Buy organic breads, pastas, and other grain products.

District 10 (livestock) - Buy organic meat that use less chemicals. Try to buy locally if you can.

District 11 (agriculture) - Buy organic fruits and vegetables. See if you can buy from a farmer's market. This will also support local farmers, less packaging, and less transportation.

District 12 (coal mining) - Make sure to always put out any fires right after you are done while camping to stop forest fires.

The Capitol - Green is the new black! Stay fashionable by using makeup with recycled packaging.

Josh Hutcherson on the Red Carpet of the GLAAD Awards

Josh Hutcherson attended the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles as a guest of honor. He also received the Vanguard award for his work with the LGBT community. Below is the stream of the red carpet for the awards.

Josh Hutcherson on Francis Lawrence

Josh attended the GLADD Media Awards and spoke about his feelings about Gary Ross' leaving the movie and Francis Lawrence becoming the new director.

“[Writer/director] Gary Ross was the best guy in the world..I think he brought so much to the movie. I’m definitely going to miss him.”
Hutcherson added that he had thought Ross was on board for all three flicks, but he’s psyched to work with the sequel’s new director. “Francis Lawrence is extremely talented,” he said. “I’ve heard he’s the nicest guy in the world. I’m really excited to see what he’s going to do with it."
I agree! After watching I Am Legend, I think that Lawrence has a lot of talent and he will be amazing with Catching Fire!

The Hunger Games - Chariot Costumes for All Tributes

The video above shows you all the costumes from all the districts in order. They are really cool so check them out!

Five Reasons While Francis Lawrence Was the Right Choice

Francis Lawrence, who also directed Water For Elephants and I Am Legend, is the new director for Catching Fire. If you don't know how much about him, MTV has put together a list of reasons why he's right for the job.

He Can Do ActionOne of the major complaints about Ross’ direction of “The Hunger Games” was that he lacked experience shooting action sequences and it showed. If Lionsgate had to find a new director for the series’ second entry, choosing one who has more experience with higher-intensity scenes does makes sense. Though Lawrence’s name does not come with the prestige of the other directors on the shortlist, he has the most experience of any of them with directing a big-budget action film.
He’s Relatively InexpensiveEarly rumors of Ross’ exit had pegged money as the main stumbling block when trying to recruit the director for the second film. We know that Ross made most of his money from “The Hunger Games” on the back end, taking a much lower fee upfront. Lionsgate was reportedly looking to not spend a ton of money on the director for “Catching Fire,” and the up-and-coming directors filling out the shortlist more or less confirms that. What makes Lawrence different is that he has the mainstream success that the other independent film directors do not, but he’s probably just as willing to work for Lionsgate’s lowered fees.
He Knows the ToneLawrence’s first two films take place in worlds based largely in a reality not far from our own, but ones that add in fantastical elements. In “I Am Legend,” Will Smith’s character lives in (near) solitude in a post-zombie-vampire outbreak Manhattan, where he hunts the wild animals that now populate the city. Lawrence has established he can make a film set in a world vaguely resembling our own, so it’s not hard to imagine Lawrence being able to make the leap to Panem.
You can read the entire article here. Now, I'm going to go check out Water For Elephants and I Am Legend from the library to check out some of his work.

"Think Like a Man" Wins Friday, Defeats "Hunger Games"

After 28 days as #1, Think Like a Man has become the new box office victor! Think Like A Man made a better than expected $12.2 million on Friday. That means the movie should make $33 million, while it was only made for $13 million. The Lucky One opened in second place with $9.1 million. The Hunger Games opened to $4 million, dropping 38%. Chimpanzee came in fourth with $3.5 million, an improvement over their last nature film African Cats.

Are you planning on seeing any of these movies again? I'm not; but next week, I'm planning on seeing The Hunger Games again for the third time!

Four Ways to Make Catching Fire better than Hunger Games

Even though we all loved the movie, we still have some ways that we would've liked for it to be changed, like including Madge or the Avoxes. Entertainment Weekly offered four different ways for Catching Fire to be better than Hunger Games.

1. No More Shaky-Cam. This summer will mark ten years since the one-two punch of The Bourne Identity and 24 instigated the shaky-camera revolution in modern action movie. All the familiar elements of this style were present in The Hunger Games: Needlessly awkward chin close-ups; quick cuts of people running; a complete butchering of the 180 degree rule. As my colleague Adam B. Vary pointed out, Catching Fire is a larger and more exotic story than its predecessor, with intriguing peeks at the other Districts and an Arena which is decidedly more fantastical than the forest in Hunger Games. I think this plays to Lawrence’s strengths — remember the vivid post-apocalyptic Manhattan of I Am Legend?
2. Don’t feel try to fit in everything. The first movie managed to make some smart plot and character trims, but the whole thing still felt quite a bit rushed, with some scenes playing out as little more than supporting-character role calls. (That’s particularly true in regards to the Careers, who were barely a presence except for their occasional background snarls. People, they were supposed to be antagonists.) That problem could only be exacerbated in Catching Fire, which introduces a host of new characters. Even moreso than Hunger Games, the second movie is going to require some serious editing and refocusing. Which is why I’d recommend…
I totally agree with the no more shaky cam! Plus, they won't have a lot of opportunities to use it because of the arena landscape in Catching Fire.  The site also includes that they should chop down the Victory Tour (do we really need to see all districts? Maybe just 11.) It also allows for more time with Finnick and Johanna, which I am all for! What do you think they should improve? Let us know in the comments.

New TV Spot: Movie Sensation

Check out this new TV spot titled "Movie Sensation"!

Francis Lawrence Offered Job of Catching Fire Director

Francis Lawrence will direct Catching Fire!!

After a quick but fairly exhaustive search, Lionsgate has chosen Francis Lawrence has been offered the opportunity to direct the Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire.
Sources say that Lawrence will receive an official offer this afternoon. If he accepts and a deal can be worked out, he will replace Gary Ross, who directed the first installment of the hugely successful franchise. The hunt had been a fast and furious one, with the field narrowing down to Lawrence, the director ofI Am Legend and Water for Elephants, and Bennett Miller, the director of the acclaimed Brad Pitt baseball movie Moneyball. Both directors met with the studio today, according to sources, and Lionsgate executives have made their pick.
Here is what is going on with the screenplay:
One question that Lawrence’s hiring raises is that of the shape of the screenplay. Ross, who is a writer as much as he is a director, worked on the Hunger Games script and was planning on spending two months honing Fire, working on a script previously penned by Simon Beaufoy. The producers and new director can keep working with Beaufoy or hire new scribes to hammer out words.
Lionsgate has confirmed that they have offered him the job, but he has not accepted yet. Waiting....

Rumor: Miller or Lawrence To Be Named Director by the End of the Week

Recent reports have said that either Bennett Miller or Francis Lawrence as director of Catching Fire.

… Lionsgate [is] expected to offer the job to either Francis Lawrence (“Water for Elephants”; “I Am Legend”) or Bennett Miller (“Moneyball”; “Capote”) by the end of the week, according to knowledgeable sources not authorized to speak publicly.
The studio has narrowed in on the two directors after considering a broader group that also included Tomas Alfredson (“Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy”), Tony Scott (“Unstoppable”), and Stephen Daldry (“Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close”).
Lawrence (no relation to “Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence) may be the easier option because his schedule is open. One source said he has met with top executives at the studio and appears eager to take on the job.
Miller, meanwhile, would have to delay his plans to direct the movie “Foxcatcher” about John du Pont, the heir to the famous family’s fortune who shot and killed an Olympic gold-medal-winning wrestler. The film, which recently added Mark Ruffalo to a cast that already includes Steve Carell and Channing Tatum, is supposed to start filming late this year.
The Austrian-born Lawrence got his start helming music videos for Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Green Day. While last year’s  “Water for Elephants” starring Reese Witherspoon did only modest business, he had great success with the 2007 “I Am Legend” with Will Smith. He’s also quite proficient in special effects and knows his way around large film sets, two attributes crucial for directing the action-heavy “Catching Fire.”
Miller has never directed a big-budget movie with special effects but was widely praised for his work on  “Moneyball” and “Capote” and was nominated for an Oscar for the latter picture.
This is unconfirmed, so no promises! But, we will have our director soon.

The Hunger Games is Great for Merchandising

The Hunger Games has created a huge demand for everything related from archery lessons to nail polish to dolls. What does it take to get the iconic mockingjay symbol on your product?

Not just anyone can slap The Hunger Games name on a product and go into business, says Lodes. Merchants must get a licensor’s blessing, agree to share a percentage of sales and guarantee a minimum royalty payment with a deposit that can range from $5,000 to $100,000, depending on the product and terms of the agreement.
That hasn’t stopped artisans from putting Katniss’ trademark Mockingjay design on handmade jewelry, infinity scarves, custom sneakers, stationary, you name it. A recent search for The Hunger Games on online marketplace Etsy turned up 7,700 items. Smaller merchants often skirt the issue of licensing by selling unofficial merchandise “inspired” by the movie, says Lodes, and studios may be willing to turn a blind eye if the products support the brand and “aren’t complete knock-offs.”
Mattel’s Katniss Everdeen Barbie doll notwithstanding, The Hunger Games hasn’t attracted the kinds of big-ticket promotional tie-ins that typically accompany other blockbusters. Blame it on the macabre storyline of kids killing kids. But experts say the flick — part of a trilogy —  still has the potential to be as big a brand as the likes of Harry Potter or Twilight, and small companies have been piggybacking on the movie’s success. “It appeals to a broad audience,” says Agata Kaczanowska, who is a lead market analyst at Los Angeles research firm IBISWorld and herself a fan. “You have the Capitol style, which is very high fashion, and then you have Katniss’s style, which is more about the outdoors.”
What is your favorite piece of Hunger Games merchandise? I love my Capitol Colors nail polish and my DIP .

Lionsgate Considers Directors Francis Lawrence and Bennett Miller for "Catching Fire"

Lionsgate now has two more directors that could become the director for Catching Fire. They are considering Francis Lawrence and Bennett Miller.

Sources close to the project tell The Playlist that “Moneyball” helmer Bennett Miller and “I Am Legend” director Francis Lawrence are also in contention for the gig. Miller is coming off the very strong baseball drama (another project he picked up in flux when Steven Soderbergh’s version was axed at the last minute) which journeyed all the way to the Oscars with six nominations including Best Picture. There’s no doubt he’s got a handle on drama and emotional tone, and full-on action fare would be a new dynamic, but the filmmaker has proven himself extremely adaptable given his documentary beginnings. There is also the question of “Foxcatcher,” the true crime tale he’s been trying to make ever since he finished “Capote.” Mark Ruffalo recently joined the film that is eyeing a fall shoot, but would Miller be willing to put it on the backburner again? Could there be other factors at play pushing it back? These questions will need answering if Miller were to move forward here.
Meanwhile, Lawrence is the more obvious fit here. The former music video director and filmmaker knows action and effects down cold, and can also handle the dramatic beats the story would need, evidenced by “Water For Elephants.” And perhaps more importantly, his schedule is free and he could jump into this right away and get cracking on firming up the Simon Beaufoy-penned script (which we hear needs work) and getting into pre-production mode for the film that could be lensing as early as August.
Who do you think should direct the movie? I can't wait for casting to begin.

Josh Hutcherson Adopts a New Puppy

This has to be the best picture ever! I'm pretty sure this will be all over Tumblr!

toofab has confirmed the 19-year-old star of “The Hunger Games” recently adopted a special needs pit bull named Driver.
Sasha Rose from Hands Paws Hearts in Lancaster, CA tells us they rescued Driver from the Downey Animal Shelter — but before Josh could adopt him from them, the pup had to undergo surgery to repair a broken femur.
We’re told Josh’s new pooch, who is also missing a couple toes, is a “brave little soul” and “a little angel.”
Cute!

Kalia Prescott in Regard Magazine

Kalia Prescott is featured in the newest issue of Regard Magazine. She plays the District 3 tribute. Check out some pictures and a small interview!

The Hunger Games is said to be the most anticipating film of the year. How does it feel to be a part of such a huge phenomenon? It’s an incredible honor. I’m so ecstatic to be one of the selected few that gets to be a part of this amazing book trilogy/turned film. The fact that it is so well received by the fans is very rewarding. I was a huge fan of the book before I even knew a movie would be made.
Without giving us all the juicy details and telling us what happens, what can you tell us about your character in The Hunger Games?  My character is the tribute from District 3, which is the technology and electronics district. My character is very vulnerable, and weaker than most of the other tributes. Unfortunately, I don’t make it very far in the games.
Check out some more here.
