The CW is developing a new show called "The Selection", a Hunger Games -esque show. Aimee Teegarden has been already cast to play the lead. "The Hunger Games" and "The Selection" both have similar themes in that both feature a young girl in a dystopian war torn nation who is chosen by a lottery for the opportunity to gain fame and fortune against a background of hunger and poverty. However, "The Selection" has the competition of winning the hand of a prince, not killing other teens.
