Kristen Bell Campaigning for a Role
I think that since she has been wanting this for so long that she must really have a connection to Johanna, kind of like Josh's connection with Peeta.
Josh Hutcherson isn't worried about Casting Comments
In an interview for his upcoming movie, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, he also got some questions about the Hunger Games. His response to the negativeness toward the casting was that it didn't really bother him. He says: "I don't read a lot of stuff online. I think for me it's, everybody's going to have their own opinion, and especially when you have such a beloved book like this, people want to see it done right. And what we have to keep in mind is that Gary Ross was hired by the studio and the studio was working with Suzanne Collins because they all have a united kind of vision for the project. So having Suzanne involved in that process helped a lot. And having her come out and say the things she did about the casting process, for me I think, really gave me a vow of confidence as well as the audience I think."
Wow! The more I listen to him talk, the more he is the perfect Peeta!
First Issue of Capitol Couture Is Out
If you subscribed to the website earlier this month, you should have gotten an email about the newest issue of Capitol Couture, that is out on their website, captiolcouture.pn. This features the different kinds of shoes that are worn in the Capitol, Effie Trinket's style, and more. I love the feel of the website and the shoes they picked out for the cover story aren't too crazy that no one right now couldn't wear them. The last ones are really cute!

What To Do After You've Read The HG: Other Books
Yeah, a new post in this series! Today, I am going to focus on a really good book that I highly suggest you should read. It has most of the same ideas of the Hunger Games with a few different ideas that make it different from the HG series. This book is called Matched by Ally Condie.
Matched is about a girl, Cassia, that lives in a futuristic world (like Panem.) In this world, everything is set to be the perfect world. The government chooses who you marry, how many children you have, what your job is, and when and how you die. You are married to another person, normally in a different area than you live, by a banquet that they match your information with another person's to make sure you have a good life and you are able to have children. Cassia gets matched with her best friend, Xander. When they are matched, they get a chip with information about their partner. Cassia loads her chip onto her computer machine, another boy's face comes up, Ky, another boy who is an outcast and he is not allowed to be matched. You can guess where we are going with this right? Yes, she finds herself falling in love with Ky against the ways of the government.
This book is the first in a series of three books. I am on the wait list at our library for the second book, so I will post my review.
Comment if you have read the series!
Elizabeth Banks on Becoming Effie
I think that Elizabeth Banks is pretty much unrecognizable as Effie. Many people don't even think that she is Effie but Elizabeth verified it on Twitter. Elizabeth Banks was interviewed by the Boston Herald about her process about becoming Effie.
On becoming Effie: "It’s about 2 and a half hours to go full Effie. When I get to wear gloves, it’s 45 minutes less. I really I tried to wear gloves as much as possible because once I had the nails on, I couldn’t barely pick up this picture, send texts, dial a phone, go to the bathroom, zip, button. Very much put me in the mindset of the character, because I bet Effie has someone who does all that for her.”
On discovering the Hunger Games: "I was a fan (of the book series) long before. I read the books years ago. Right when they came out. A publishing friend recommended it. I got on the Amazon wait list for Mockingjay.”
I think that Elizabeth is working very hard to get the character of Effie right. Even the part about how Effie probably has somebody to get her ready every day is so brilliant and I never even thought of that before.

Hunger Games Movie Poster
This is the newest movie poster. I am so excited to see this hanging outside of my theater! Actually, the character posters are already hanging up in the theater and they look even better in gigantic form!
This poster as Katniss shooting an arrow, zoomed really up. The tagline is "The world will be watching" and then at the bottom it has the movie title, the mockingjay pin, and the date that everyone can not wait for: March 23.
