Ross helped Quaid get in touch with his character through watching the disturbing and violent film A Clockwork Orange. He also encouraged Quaid to create a backstory for Marvel. “[Marvel] doesn’t see human beings as humans. They’re targets. He’s the Hunger Games’ number one fan. It’s what he’s on earth to do…Suzanne came to set the day [my character] died. And Rue is her favorite character, so she looked at me like–with so much judgment.”
