LeBron James Can't Put Mockingjay Down

Lebron James can't put it down even while being stretched before Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semi-finals.

In the pregame locker room, James was engrossed in the novel he’s reading, “Mockingjay,” the finale to the Hunger Games trilogy about an imperfect society hurled into chaos. So engrossed, in fact, that as James bent to one knee to be stretched by a trainer, he cradled the book in one hand while the trainer stretched the opposite arm behind his back. Then, he switched hands.Barely an hour later, he would unleash his transcendent gifts on the Celtics, and on the imperfect basketball society he inhabits, in ways that he rarely allows himself to do. He would put the pedal down, as he said, and keep it there.
And so after doing this to the Celtics — doing what the Celtics usually do to him — there was James at his locker afterward. A doo-rag on his head and his feet in an ice bucket, James studied the stat sheet sitting in his lap with no expression. Soon, he would pick up his book and read.
I feel better now because even sports players did this too!
By most accounts, James’ business-like demeanor didn’t lighten up until he was approached by a team media relations staffer when it was his turn to go to the postgame news conference podium and discuss his dominance.“Let me finish this chapter first,” James said as he turned a page in Suzanne Collins’ “Mockingjay.” “I can’t leave right in the middle of this. I’ve got to finish up this last page.”James then laughed.
LeBron has been reading the entire series as a part of his pre-game routine during the playoffs. It has been cool to see his progress!

Josh Hutcherson Wants To Be Friends With Kristen Stewart

The Hunger Games and Twilight were the front runners at the MTV Movie Awards this weekend (HG won 4 and Twilight won 2). Josh Hutcherson caught up with Kristen Stewart backstage and this was the first time they were able to talk in five years.
“That was awesome to connect with her again, especially after everything that’s happened to the both of us [with 'Twilight' and 'The Hunger Games']. It’s nice to just kind of be able to talk again and hopefully have some sort of friendship. She’s fantastic.”
He talked about the competition between the two popular series/movies.
“Honestly, you know what? I’ve never really felt it to be a competition. And I wish I could pretend like it was ’cause it’d be fun, [but] it’s so not. Their cast is fantastic, our cast is fantastic and there’s never been any bloodshed. … Not yet,” he teased.

Catching Fire has been having tons of rumors fly and one of them is about where they are filming. Atlanta was named as one of those possibilities, but Lionsgate has not said anything yet.
The second movie is expected to do just as well or better than the first, and is set to start shooting later this year. Pre-production starts in weeks. The Georgia Film Office said it is awaiting an official announcement on where the production company plans to shoot.

Catching Fire Producer Says The Field For Finnick Is "Wide Open"

While at the MTV Movie Awards, the LA Times 24 Frames Blog talked to Nina Jacobson, the producer of Catching Fire, about all the rumors about casting for Finnick. She also talked to them about the impact of fan favorites during the casting.

That’s the thing that’s crazy — people are like way ahead of where we are,” Nina Jacobson told us on the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday. “We’ve not narrowed things down by any means. It’s funny to see how things can take on a life of their own.”But are the filmmakers taking fan input into account while seeking out their Finnick? Not entirely, says Jacobson.
“It means something that people can see [an actor] in that light, so you know [the actor] will be accepted by a lot of people, on the one hand,” she said. “On the other hand, you have to kind of ignore it. You have to just sort of act like you’re sitting in a room and you want to just pick the person who gives the best audition and looks and feels most like the part.”
Since its release in March, “The Hunger Games” has collected over $645 million worldwide. The next installment is due in November 2013. “That’s pressure,” Jacobson acknowledged with a smile. “But it’s a good kind of pressure.”
So, it looks like the fans are too fast for the producers!

Are Lucas Till, Trevor Donovan, and Alan Ritchson Meeting With Lionsgate about Finnick?

Zap2it sources have said that Lionsgate is meeting with three actors about the role of Finnick this week.

Though Lionsgate will not confirm casting news until the role has been finalized, sources tell Zap2it exclusively that the field has been narrowed to eight actors. Armie Hammer and Garrett Hedlund remain on the short list, whereas Taylor Kitsch is not taking meetings about the role.
As we previously reported, however, award-winning casting director Debra Zane is not only looking at big names for the highly sought-after role. Actors read for the casting department this week, and while we can’t reveal the full list, we’ve confirmed that Lucas Till, Trevor Donovan, and Alan Ritchson are among the actors who will meet with Lionsgate over the next few days.
Till is no stranger to big franchises — or to Jennifer Lawrence. He co-starred with her as Havok in “X-Men: The First Class.” He’s also known for his role as Miley Cyrus’ love interest in the “Hannah Montana” movie. Donovan worked as a model and is best known as Teddy from The CW’s “90210.” He will appear in “Savages” this summer. Ritchson, who played Aquaman on “Smallville,” starred on “Blue Mountain State.”
Lucas Till was on the short list for Peeta and even read for the role. He was a fan favorite for the part, too.

Remember, this is a rumor that is not confirmed.
